I used to always make a traditional cherry pie and there would always be half a pie left over after serving. I love this mini version because I can make just two at a time. Perfect for me and my husband when we are eating dinner together.
This is not a cold and creamy pudding, but more like an old-fashioned plum pudding. The warmly spiced persimmon dessert is baked, and is almost like a a rich pumpkin pie filling. Serve with ice cream!
This salad is shaken, not tossed. All the ingredients - arugula, cherry tomatoes, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese and an oil and vinegar dressing - are combined in a plastic bowl with a lid and given a few shakes. Topped with avocado slices, it is very presentable for guests.
